Email #5 from the MTC, 29 June 2011

hola familia,

this week has been great. first and foremost i would like to give a shout out to my nephew jackson for learning how to pee outside at his grandmothers house! atta boy. haha im pretty sure i learned how to go outside at my grandmas house too hehe. thats funny that you told that joke about jimmer. so our sunday night devotional steven b allen spoke to us from the mtc. he was like "you all missed jimmer getting drafted, we tried drafting him" and we all thought he was talking about the jazz but then he said, "but he chose to go to the nba instead." it was hilarious and everyone loved it. I loved his whole talk he also is like the only person who lets us take off our suit coats during the devotional too.

last wednesday we got 2 new districts in our zone. also all the new mission presidents came into the mtc so last week was crazy busy with people everywhere. it was insane. but friday we had David a Bednar from the quorum of the 12 speak to us. it was rad. his talk was on being a preach my gospel missionary. last week's devotionals were amazing and i felt the spirit a ton. so since my companion is the district leader and our older district is leaving soon me and my comp are being called this sunday to be zone leader shadows. so when they leave we will be the zone leaders for a couple weeks. we are finally on the downhill now.

this is the last week i get to go to the temple because it is being closed for cleaning till we probably leave. ah its sad but whateves. umm we got the opportunity to have someone from the spain mtc come teach us. his name is manuel arjona. he is amazing. during his lesson he told us that he meet with the apostles and members of the 70 but he really felt the spirit stronger by being in our classroom with us. that was amazing to hear. yesterday me and my comp got to do some situations with him, with him being the investigator. he had some great insights. keep sending me justys and bradys letters i love em. can you send me like 8 copies of the hymn god be with you till we meet again in english??? and maybe picture of our fam at adams wedding, and the just brother pic. thanks. church is true. the spirit teaches and testifies....we are just the tools to make that happen
